Jo’s supports Alma Zois and the Hellenic Sailing Federation
“Sailing for Women”
I am truly honored to support such a remarkable initiative that promotes sports, its values, and benefits, while also conveying a powerful message of hope and strength!
In collaboration with the Hellenic Sailing Federation, I designed a collectible piece of jewelry, a part of the proceeds from which will be donated to support the Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois” and the Hellenic Sailing Federation, enhancing their important missions.
The collectible jewelry for the “Strength in Unity” campaign is inspired by sailing, specifically by the equipment used in the sport. The design draws inspiration from the Genoa, a crucial sail that ensures steady course and speed, even when sailing against the wind (“on the tack”). This challenging and demanding maneuver symbolizes the perseverance and determination needed to navigate life’s obstacles, ultimately leading you exactly where you wish to go—your destination.
The goal of the campaign is to inspire women of all ages, including those with disabilities, to experience the magic of sailing through the “Sailing for Women” program, led by the bronze Olympic medalist from Beijing 2008, Sophia Papadopoulou.
Through the actions of this program, we aim to offer women the opportunity to experience the freedom and joy sailing offers, while discovering the inner strength they carry. For some, this experience may mark the beginning of a “revolutionary change”, bringing light and hope to their challenging everyday lives.
