Arts & Sports Award by ESOA

This year’s Make Place For One More Woman event was much more than an important moment within the world of sport for me. It was a meaningful gathering of people, values and stories that believe in the power of female presence, collaboration and creativity.

For the third consecutive year, the Hellenic Olympians Association (ESOA) honored women who have distinguished themselves across different areas of Greek sport, as well as one man who actively supports and promotes women’s participation in sport. The event took place in a warm and thoughtful atmosphere, bringing together representatives of the Olympic Movement and the wider sports community.

The Make Place For One More Woman program, inspired and created by Voula Kozomboli OLY, reflects a deep need: to make room for more women — not only as athletes, but also as coaches, executives, scientists, creators and leaders.

Among the remarkable personalities honored this year, I had the special privilege of receiving the Art & Sports Award

Art and Sport — my personal journey

Sport has always been a source of inspiration for me. Not only for the strength, discipline and perseverance it represents, but also for its aesthetics, symbolism and the stories it carries.

Through jewelry design, I seek to highlight a more artistic side of sport — translating movement, effort and values into contemporary, wearable creations.

Along this journey, I have had the pleasure of collaborating with sports institutions, federations and individuals within the athletic world who share common values and vision. During the event, something was announced that filled me with deep honor, emotion and creative excitement: the commission to create a collectible piece of jewelry celebrating the 40th anniversary of ESOA.

An unexpected and profoundly meaningful moment. This project represents both a great responsibility and a powerful source of inspiration. I am committed to giving my very best, in order to capture the history, values and long-standing journey of so many years, transforming them into a contemporary artistic piece with depth and symbolism.

This award serves as a personal affirmation that art and sport can coexist, communicate and inspire one another. Most of all, it encourages me to continue creating, collaborating and making space for one more woman.
